Journey to The Ranch Interviews
Before the pandemic, The Ranch wanted to highlight what our guests' journey's look like, whether they are legacy returning guests or first-time guests. My job was to produce a series of videos that would be used in our marketing material. We decided to do three interviews, two legacy and one first time guest. Before the shoot I called and spoke to our legacy interviewees to do a pre interview and get a better idea of what their typical visits looked like. From there I was able to get a better sense of their personalities, as well as a clearer idea of what our tentative schedule would look like for interviews and b-roll shoots.
The day before the shoot one of my legacy guests, Marilyn had an accident and was unable to visit The Ranch unfortunately. So like most go with the flow productions, we improvised. I touched base with our team, and was able to find, meet, and interview two friends who make it a priority to come to The Ranch every year. It was very much an on your feet production, but we made it work and I loved their stories.
I'd like to thank my team, Alberto Lopez (videographer and editor), Preston Roeschlein (videographer), and Richard Despojado (grip).
